Movement

  • Hit ‘r’ to toggle autorun
  • Hit the spacebar to jump
  • When underwater, use the spacebar to quickly ascend to the surface.
  • Take off your armour and shield while swimming...your breath meter expires much faster with them equipped.
  • Invest in your jumping skill to increase how high you can jump
  • You can lose HP if you fall from a height

Inventory

  • ‘Ctrl + Drag’ allows you to split a stack of items
  • You can hit ‘Z’ to examine a selected item, monster, or player and see its relevant statistics
  • Use the ‘I’ key to access your inventory
  • The little lock button on the examine popup will keep a window open until you manually close it yourself, allowing you to compare items side by side
  • Collecting items from the monster’s corpses can be traded with Collectors in the city

Combat

  • Holding down the "Shift" key allows you to block attacks
  • Use the number keys (1, 2, 3, etc.) to access your shortcut bar
  • The ‘Tab’ key will cycle you through the available targets
  • Yellow damage floaty text means that damage has been reduced.
  • Shields help you more if you’re actively blocking with them.

Camera

  • The ‘T’ key toggles on/of mouse look mode
  • The mouse wheel lets you zoom in/out on your character
  • Holding down the Left Mouse Button will temporarily put you into mouse look mode
  • Hold down the middle mouse button to rotate the camera around your avatar

Party and Socializing

  • Use the Function keys (F1, F2, F3, etc.) to cycle through your party members
  • Use the Social panel to find fellow adventurers

Navigation

  • The ‘M’ key will open (or close) the map to full mode
  • You can often find NPCs in taverns that have quests for you
  • You can toggle the character names that appear overhead of players and NPCs on and off by pressing the ‘V’ key
  • If you click on a Mapnote, a white arrow will appear on your radar to show you which direction that character or place is
  • Keep an eye out in Stormreach for door marked with a yellow swirl - those are places you explore
